This year marks the 38th anniversary of our Metropolis Ministry Awards Ceremony, where we will gather on Sunday, June 9th to honor the faithful, loving, and dedicated ministry offered by the Clergy and Laity of our 62 parishes throughout New England. This family celebration, which hosts over 800 guests annually, is one of the most enjoyable evenings of the entire year as the Metropolis recognizes and thanks the faithful stewards of our local parishes for their dedicated service.  It is an evening of much warmth and love.

This year also marks both the 40th anniversary of the Enthronement of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios as the Metropolitan of Boston, as well as the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the Holy Priesthood. As we reflect upon these past four decades, we thank Almighty God for the blessings He has bestowed upon us all during our Metropolitan’s Archpastoral ministry.

On behalf of our Metropolitan, I am pleased to inform you that this year’s Awards Dinner will be held again at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro—the Home of the New England Patriots. Please reserve Sunday, June 9, on your calendar and invite the participation of the stewards of your Community.

Special Exhibit Honoring His Eminence

In honor of the 40th anniversary of His Eminence’ Archpastoral Leadership of the Metropolis of Boston, the Ministry Awards Committee would like to celebrate His Eminence with a special exhibit at Patriot Place during the Awards Dinner on June 9.

This will be a museum style display and slide show created around the theme:

We are asking all parishes throughout the Metropolis to submit 10-20 digital photographs with captions depicting and describing events or milestones where His Eminance was present with his Archpastoral love and leadership. Please send those digital photos, together with a caption, name and date of the specific event, BEFORE APRIL 26th to: rsvp@boston.goarch.org

If you cannot submit digital photographs, you may submit them via hard copy to the Metropolis.

Each photo should include:

• a brief caption
• Parish Name
• City/Town
• State
• Date or Year
• Brief description of event

Each parish that submits will be represented. Images will be selected depending upon space allowed.

We hope to present a wonderful visual history of His Eminence over the past 40 years in Boston, through the lenses of each individual parish throughout New England, at our June 9 Awards Dinner and Celebration.

The deadline for submission is April 26. We hope and pray you all will participate.
