Rev. Fr. Constantine Cambas

Fr. Constantine Cambas, (aka Charles C.) is a physical therapist and Greek Orthodox priest, living in Southborough, MA. He is married to Marilou Cura-Cambas and they have two young adult daughters, Marianne Cambas-Kent, and Barbara. Fr. Constantine was born in the Bronx, NY in 1958 and spent his early years in both New York and New Jersey. He graduated from Willingboro High School in 1976 in Willingboro, NJ and attended State University of New York at Stony Brook, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1981. He continued postgraduate studies in physical therapy for one year at Temple University in Philadelphia.

In November, 1983, he was commissioned as an Ensign in the US Naval Reserve, Medical Service Corps, as a physical therapist and served on active duty both in the continental United States and overseas. His primary military duty was in rehabilitation, but he also was given ancillary assignments on the controlled substances inventory board at the US Capital Pharmacy in Washington, DC, and as an assistant to Judge Advocate General (JAG) office at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, MD. He received the Navy Achievement medal in 1992 while serving the Marines of the 2nd Marine Division, at Camp Lejeune, NC, returning from Operation Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged from active service in 1992 with the rank of Lieutenant.

In 1989, while in Camp Lejeune, he began to feel a call to serve God, but was not clear as to how or in what capacity. He continued to heed this call and to pray for His guidance to help him discern Gods will for him.

In 1996, he moved his family to Massachusetts and began taking courses at Holy Cross Seminary in Brookline, MA. He continued his studies there while working part time in the rehabilitation field and eventually completed his Master of Divinity degree in 2004. He was ordained as a deacon and then a priest in August 2004 by His Eminence, Metropolitan Methodios of Boston. He has since served the Metropolis of Boston in several parishes both as a supply priest as well as in permanent assignments.He served the parish of the He Nativity-Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church in Cohasset, MA for a number of year. He currently serves as the Presiding priest at the St. George Parish in Lowell, MA. Fr. Constantine continues to serve both the church and his work part time as a practicing physical therapist in Massachusetts.
