Rev. Fr. Panagioti Giannakopoulos

Fr. Peter was born in Keratsinion, Piraeus, Greece, on October 10, 1949. He completed his elementary education in his home town and attended the First Protypon Arrenon of Piraeus, later renamed Ionideios Modern School. He graduated in 1967 and migrated to the United States with his family on September 25, 1967. He enrolled at Hellenic College in September, 1968 and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1972. He was the Valedictorian of his class. He continued his Theological studies at Holy Cross School and graduated with Honors in 1975.

Upon his graduation he was recommended by the Faculty to attend the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey, Switzerland. On September 2, 1979 he married Paula Bounos at the Holy Cross Chapel in Brookline, MA. They have two children, Simela Nicole, 34 and Constantine Nicholas, 29.
