Rev. Fr. Panteleimon Klostri

clergy-portrait

Father Panteleimon was born in Cyprus and was raised in New York City, worshipping at Saint Spyridon in Washington Heights. Married in 2002, Father and Presvytera Eleni are the proud parents of their son, Theodore. A student of Scripture and Liturgy, Father enjoys Bible studies and using teachable moments to convey the faith. In 1993, Father graduated from Fordham with a degree in History, and later entered Holy Cross, graduating in 1998. Upon graduation, and moving back to New York, Father returned to the neighborhood where he was raised to give back, teaching for four years in the New York City Public School system as a Reading Specialist and then, after marriage, in a community college.

As a Priest, parish life expresses the hopes and dreams the people have, and where their faith is nurtured. Beginning as an Assistant at St Vasilios, to celebrating the Dormition's 95th Anniversary, to current ministry programs at Saint Luke, including a merger with a sister parish, Fr. Panteleimon believes the most humbling experience of his life was to be called to the Holy Priesthood.
