Project Bread: Walk for Hunger
Over the years, the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos has supported Project Bread an organization which provides meals and food assistance throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
When the COVID-19 pandemic broke in March and the annual Walk for Hunger was cancelled, the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos Board decided to set up the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos Virtual Team, donated $1,000 from the treasury and established a goal of $2,000. Through the generous contributions of Chapters and individuals throughout the Metropolis of Boston, we exceeded our goal and raised over $3,300 to help support low-income communities.
