2023 Metropolis of Boston Oratorical Festival
On Saturday, May 13th, 2023, the Metropolis of Boston Oratorical Festival was hosted at the Assumption Church in Manchester, NH with the blessings and presence of His Eminence Metropolis Methodios at this annual event.
This year, our Metropolis Level Competition had the largest participation with 28 speakers participating with excellent speeches from our youth. The First, Second and Third Place Speakers were awarded Scholarships for the Metropolis of Boston Summer Camp program.
1st Place Senior = Vilson Lipa from Sts. Constantine and Helen - Webster
2nd Place Senior= Nicholas Tonna from St. Spyridon Worcester MA
3rd Place Senior = Vasilios Karanos from Annunciation in Brockton MA
1st Place Junior = Sophia Nichols from Annunciation Cranston RI
2nd Place Junior= Peter Livingston from St. Demetrios Weston MA
3rd Place Junior= Genevieve Walker from St. Spyridon Newport, RI
The Metropolis of Boston is very proud of all the youth who stepped forward to explore their faith, write speeches, and compete at the Parish and Metropolis Levels of the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festivals. Congratulations to the Metropolis Chairperson for this event Fr. Theodore Toppses, to the youth who participated, their parents, the judges, the parishes, the volunteers, and all who made this event possible.
