KOSMOS PROJECT SUMMER 2024 AT THE METROPOLIS OF BOSTON CAMP

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston are pleased to commence the 2024 Kosmos Project: A Cultural Camp Exchange Program.

Now entering its fifth year, The Kosmos Project continues to be a beacon of cultural exchange, spiritual growth, and personal transformation for young adults aged 18-25 within our Metropolis. This unique camping exchange program, in collaboration with the Holy Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Thessaloniki, Greece, offers participants a once-in-a-lifetime experience to immerse themselves in the rich heritage and vibrant spirituality of Greece.

The two-week journey commences with a week-long summer camping ministry of the Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, providing our participants with an opportunity for communal bonding, self-reflection, and spiritual rejuvenation. Following this enriching experience, the second week unfolds as a captivating odyssey through the historic city of Thessaloniki and the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Greece. Our participants engage in a dynamic blend of faith-based activities, cultural exploration, and meaningful interactions with local communities, fostering cross-cultural understanding and lifelong friendships.

The dates for this year's program are August 1st to August 16th.  We are eagerly preparing a new cohort our Kosmos Project participants for an unforgettable and transformative experience, which will enrich the lives of our young adults as well as contribute to the promotion of intercultural dialogue, spiritual growth, and global citizenship.

The second portion of this exchange program is the group of 25-30 young adults who travel from Thessaloniki, Greece to Boston for 15 days (July 20-August4) in order to participate in the same program mentioned above—but here in New England.   The Greece Kosmos participants spend the last week of our MBC session with us as honorary staff members—fully participating in our camp program.  The second week of their visit includes a daily tour around New England to introduce our friends from Thessaloniki to the charm and beauty of our New England sea coast, the parishes of the Metropolis of Boston, and the many significant historical and cultural sites in the greater-Boston area.
