Dear Beloved Friends,

The Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos invites you to join us for a luncheon celebration showcasing our new cookbook, Around the Metropolis Table, in honor of the 40th Anniversary of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios as spiritual leader of the Metropolis of Boston. This event will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 12 p.m. at the Ithaki Restaurant, Peabody, Massachusetts.

Around the Metropolis Table is a compilation of family recipes from Philoptochos sisters and supporters from throughout the six New England states - truly a labor of love. The title of the cookbook embraces the joy of being seated around a table and enjoying a meal together. Philoptochos recognizes that there are many who do not have a home, or a table, and many who experience food insecurity.

Through the sale of this cookbook, the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos seeks to raise funds to fulfill its mission of caring for those in need including such ministries as VA Medical Center for Homeless Veterans, Operation Classroom, local food pantries, National Children's Medical Fund, Philoxenia House, Metropolis of Boston Camp, Hellenic Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos charities.

In addition to attending the event, we respectfully request your support as a sponsor. All sponsors will be listed in the luncheon program to help further support our philanthropic endeavors. The levels of sponsorship are:

Diamond / Grand Benefactor – $5,000

Ruby / Benefactor – $1,000 to $4,999

Emerald – $500 to $999

Sapphire – $250 to $499

Gold – $100 to $249

Silver – under $100

Can I purchase a cookbook if I can't make it to the event?

Yes, the cookbook may be purchased separately, but only after the luncheon, subject to availability. Please click here to reserve your cookbook and we will try to fulfill the list after the luncheon takes place (again, subject to availability).

Can I buy cookbooks to sell in my parish bookstore?

If you would like to purchase more than 2 cookbooks, please click here and reserve cookbooks for your parish. You will be contacted after the event to collect payment and arrange for delivery.

Will cookbooks be available to purchase as Christmas gifts?

Yes, the cookbook may be purchased before Christmas, but only after the luncheon, subject to availability. By clicking here to reserve your cookbook we will try to fulfill the list after the luncheon takes place in time for holiday giving.
