On December 9th, Philoxenia House was visited by several parishes in the Metropolis of Boston to learn more about the ministries offered by the Metropolis in the greater Boston area: The Goya from Ipswich visited the Philoxenia House December 9th. The Goya swept the outdoor grounds and decorated with outdoor holiday lights and decorations. The St. Nicholas parish of Manchester, New Hampshire, was blessed on Sunday, December 10th, by an Archpastoral visit from Metropolitan Methodios. His Eminence spoke lovingly to the parish, observing and highlighting the congregational singing and sense of community between members. On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, for the third time in the history of Catholic-Orthodox relations in the U.S., the General Assembly of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops extended an invitation to the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA (AoB) to send a delegation to participate as observers... His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios dedicated last weekend visiting the historical community of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary. This beautiful church was established by dedicated immigrants at the beginning of the 20th century ... St. Catherine's in Braintree was honored to host His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios on November 26th for Divine Liturgy and the church's name day celebration. BROOKLINE, MASSACHUSETTS - On Saturday, November 18, 2023, a fellowship breakfast meeting was held at the Metropolis Center with the newly elected Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos Board. On Sunday, October 29, His Eminence participated in the Federation of Church Musicians Choir Conference, which was held at St. Spyridon Cathedral in Worcester. His Eminence gave a special medal to organist Anthony Rozakis for his dedication and service to the Federation and for his contributions to choirs in general. BOSTON – The annual Clergy-Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston was hosted by the St. Demetrios parish in Weston, MA. More than 300 clergy and parish representatives attended the day-long event, hearing from numerous guest speakers and attending small group discussions of the conference that was attended by clergy and Parish Council representatives from all 62 parishes throughout the metropolis.
