Metropolitan Methodios Welcomes His Clergy for Their Monthly Brotherhood Meeting

On Tuesday, March 5th, the Metropolis of Boston hosted the monthly Clergy Brotherhood meeting with over 45 of our clergy in attendance.  These monthly gatherings serve as an opportunity for the Metropolis clergy to engage in continuing education, discussion, worship, and fellowship.

Representing His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, Fr. Ted Barbas, Chancellor, and Fr. Tom Chininis, Clergy Brotherhood President, welcomed Kyra Limberakis, the Chief Operating Officer of the Orthodox Volunteer Corp (OVC), as a guest speaker.  During her presentation, Ms. Limberakis discussed the mission of the Orthodox Volunteer Corp and how our young adults can actively participate in the outreach ministry of the Church, while learning and being mentored in our Orthodox faith, tradition, and theology.  The program's objective is to equip Orthodox young adults with the knowledge and skills to lead a life of faithful service in the Church.  Her presentation generated much discussion, questions and answers among the clergy.   For more information, please visit:  Orthodox Volunteer Corp (OVC): https://www.orthodoxvolunteercorps.org/home

At the conclusion of the meeting, Metropolitan Methodios hosted the clergy to a pre-Lenten luncheon during which he greeted his clergy with his Archpastoral encouragement for a peaceful and spiritually uplifting Lent as he thanked and reminded them of the importance of their priestly ministry to the Church.
